Homework!!! • For Mon, Nov 19: read Act V Scene 1. pp. 1669-1676. • For Tues, Dec 4: memorize fifteen lines from a soliloquy of your choice in Hamlet.
Compare/Contrast Questions: • Look at Act II Scene 2, lines 285-290; then look at Hamlet’s last soliloquy. 1. What is Hamlet’s situation in the play when he delivers each speech? 2. What positive statements does he make about humanity? 3. What is the overall tone in each speech? 4. What explanations can be given for Hamlet’s views of humanity? 5. How are the two speeches analogous?
Create a comic strip: • After you annotate Hamlet’s last soliloquy, work on the following: -divide the speech into four to sixparts and paraphrase each part. -compose an image to go with each part, using drawings, symbols, etc.. to illustrate each part. -present your comic strip to the class. - only ONE paper per pair!!
