  2. Introduction We operate all types of machines in our industry, as well as in our daily lives, that can injure, cause loss of limb, or kill us. The following video covers all types of very common accidents from many industries. Make note of the type of injury and write it down. Click white frame below to view video.

  9. A note about cutting… Kerf: The width of the path the blade makes while cutting through an object. This is important when lining up material to cut.

  14. So, lets set this machine up! Nice working Area Pump in the water bucket

  15. Plug it in. WAIT! You need a drip loop! Wrong! Correct Drip Loop

  16. So lets cut. Turn the machine on Move hand down

  17. One additional safety tip If you chose to, set a pallet down on the ground to stand on in front of the saw. If you do enough cutting, the ground becomes wet. This will elevate you so you are not standing in a puddle. Electricity and water don’t mix!

  18. One last thing… Always stay focused on the job you are performing. Losing focusing and not paying attention can have consequences for you, and others around you.
