  1. SCRIPTURE READING

  2. ROMANS 7:15, 21 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

  3. The The Struggle Is Real

  4. ROMANS 7:15, 21 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

  5. ROMANS 7:20 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

  6. ROMANS 7:21, 23 21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.

  7. GALATIANS 5:17 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

  8. ROMANS 7:24 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?

  9. FOUR WAYS: • I have to acknowledge the truth. • Refuse to blame. • Pursue Jesus.

  10. ROMANS 7:24-25 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

  11. PHILIPPIANS 4:13 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

  12. FOUR WAYS: 4. Throw it off.

  13. EPHESIANS 4:21-22 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires.
