Update on Certa Qualificationson the QCF Our ‘Framework’ Qualifications at Entry Levels, Levels One, Two and Three • Work Preparation – suites in vocational areas • Qualification in Progression (QIP) / Skills for Further Learning and Employment (SFFLE) • Existing Qualifications extended • Some have new units added to improve flexibility • Most units shared between QIP and SFFLE (at Entry 3, and Levels 1 & 2) • Units have new codes • There are slight changes to the units wording in most cases • Make sure your centre uses the new version for the next course runs • Certa Website will be updated and then the Certa webportal.
Update on Certa Qualificationson the QCF Extended Qualifications include: • Independent Living suite • Employability suite • Getting on at Work • Fashion suite • Tackling Substance Misuse • Community Interpreting (Level 3) Most qualifications are publicly funded for ages 14 – 19 (EFA) and 19 plus (SFA)
Update on Certa Qualificationson the QCF- New Qualifications • New Education and Training qualifications: replace Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) • Induction in Safer Moving and Handling of People in Care Settings (Level 2) – includes Exemplar Assessments • New Mathematics Awards and Certificates at Entry 1, Entry 2, and Entry 3 – include External Assessments which learners can take when they are ready In Development:- • Mathematics and English, including units to prepare learners for the demands of the GCSE syllabus • New Youth Work in Practice suite of Award, Certificates and Diplomas, Level 2 and 3
