  3. Unity I dreamed I stood in a studio And polished and smoothed it over. And watched two sculptors there. They were proud of what they had wrought, The clay they used was a young child’s mind For the things they had molded into the child And they fashioned it with care. Could neither be sold nor bought. One was a teacher - the tools he used And each agreed they would have failed Were books, music and art. If each had worked alone, The other, a parent, worked with a guiding hand, For behind the teacher stood the school And gentle, loving heart. And behind the parent, the home. Day after day, the teacher toiled with touch Author Unknown That was deft and sure. While the parent labored by his side

Success • Relax – We are really good at what we do • The first day students will remain with their homeroom teacher for the first half of the day • welcome students • distribute locker combinations • practice opening lockers • learn how to read their schedules • hand out student planners • Please be engaged and involved • Please ask for help if it is needed
