Major changes • Draft-patel-ecrit-sos-parameter-07 • “sos” URI parameter is changed to “reg-type” URI parameter. “reg-type” can take values. • Draft specifies a value “sos” for use in the Contact header field in the REGISTER request for emergency registration (for systems where emergency registration is used) • Where other cases require a specific registration to be distinguished, other “reg-type” values can be registered.

  3. What’s next? • Recent AD comments – option tags – this has been discussed before and was considered unnecessary • Correct draft so that legacy registrar reflects the URI parameter in the 200 (OK) if registration is successful • Create IANA registry so other “reg-type” values can be defined?
