2. Pretty Ricky • Hip-hop is a poetic expression because they write songs to express how they feel at the time. • The literary characteristics that Pretty Ricky do to express the music they write is that they love girls and they also love to please the girls. • The aspects of the music is that the treat girls well and they also have good break up songs that everybody can relate to. • The complexities about the youth society not being able to listen to pretty Ricky because of the explicit lyrics and there sexual content.

3. Drake • When Drake raps or sing he is singing about his past girlfriends or just women in general. • Drake’s music makes the girls swoon over him because of the way he raps and the way his voice sounds when he sing. • The aspects of Drake’s music that is letting him cross the color lines is because he was on the teen hit show “Degrassi the next generation” and all the kids that watched it like the transformation from a young boy ears to a mature young man. • There aren't really any complexities about Drake because of the fresh way he raps and sing.

4. Lil Wayne • Rap music is poetic expression because when Lil Wayne raps he makes it rhyme or he will use free style poetry. • This music express how he feels about himself and other people. • Different races listen to him because he collaborates with different people. • Some parents don’t like their children listening to this because he cursed a lot.

LL Cool J • Rap is a poetic because it’s a way for the rappers express their feelings. • When LL Cool J rap he is telling a story about the way he grew up. • LL Cool J music expresses his love and also respect for women. • The aspects of LL cool J music that is letting it cross color lines is that he is collaborates with a lot of different artists from other genres of music. • Some of his music express some sexual things but the majority of it does not so there really a problem with his music half of the time.
