Tasks for German Employment Policy Ensure innovation & productivity with aging workforce: • improve the general employability of workers : • working conditions (OSH, Organisation) • motivation of workers (Participation & Leadership) • qualification and skills (basic Education & LLL) • cover deficits as regards qualified employees: - integration of women, younger people, migrants • support SME`s
Options • Legislation: a.) Increase of retirement age in steps to 67 ( 2012-2029); limit early retirement b.) amendments to short time work act (2008) • Support change processes in economy: a.) organise guidance & advice for SME b.) support for Social Partners, especially preparation + implementation of collective agreements
