    2. Resolution #1 The RPF funders to keep the members abreast of developments in the implementation of the labour-intensive strategy in Gauteng and of progress made in the rollout of the Expanded Public Works Programme, especially with respect to road pavement technology

    3. Resolution #2 That the National Department of Transport be approached to sponsor delegates to the PIARC Technical Committees on Theme S1 (Road Technology) and to keep the RPF abreast of developments in this area

    4. Resolution #3 That formal procedures for liaison with NDoT be established to ensure that standard specifications and codes of practice reflect the needs and concerns of industry

    5. Resolution #4 P Nordengen to report back at the next RPF on progress made on combating vehicle overloading

    6. Resolution #5 That the Bitumen Specifications Working Group be reconvened with the objective of reviewing the SA binder specifications relative to international trends of Performance Grading (PG), including the fingerprinting of various SA crude source binders using the American PG System

    7. Resolution #6 P Hendricks to report back at the next RPF meeting on the status of the Research Advisory Panel for road engineering
