Description and History • The Culinary Institute of America is a culinary college, located in Hyde in New York and was founded in 1946. The college over the years has built several campuses in the US in in St. Helena, California, and San Antonio, Texas, and in Singapore. The institute is a not-profit institution, which means it uses surplus revenues to achieve its goals. Also the New York Campus operates several on-campus restaurants. The college also offers recreational classes for non-professionals and branded cookware for the home cook.

Tuition, Financial Aid, and On-Campus Living • The total tuition for the first semester is a total $16,755 plus the $2,000-$4,500 for the type of room you want. Also the price decreases the longer you stay at the Institute. For the second semester of your freshman year total tuition is $15,165 (including room if not already paid). The first semester of your sophomore year would be $15,625-$15,660. The second and final semester of your sophomore year is going to total to $15,165. Financial aid at the institute varies based on income of family or who ever is paying for the tuition.

Description and History • The University of Southern California which is a private, not-for-profit, University that was founded in 1880 with the main campus being located in Los Angeles, California It is one of California's oldest private research universities. USC is also known for educating a large number of its region’s business. In the recent decades, the university has also leveraged its location in Los Angeles to establish relationships with research and cultural institutions throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim. USC is also home to 20,596 graduate and professional students in a number of different programs, including business, law, social work, and medicine.
Degrees and Certificates • USC offers many different kinds of programs. They offer things such as bachelor and masters degreesin graphic design and things that are related to computers. Also with the many programs they offer it gets the student more options with picking what they want to major in.
Tuition, Financial Aid, and On-Campus Living • The total tuition for going to USC is $62,000 for two semesters. The price also includes mandatory fees, Room and board, book/supplies, personal/miscellaneous fees, transportation, and standard meal plan. Also there is a extra $350 fee for first year students. The financial aid depends on current family or payer’s income and depending on that the price will be lowered to a affordable amount. The On-campus living is combined (coed dorms) and freshman have to stay in the freshman dorm and the longer you go to USC you will be moved up to the sophomore dorm.

Description and History • The University of Memphis was founded with the creation of the General Education Bill, enacted by the Tennessee Legislature in 1909. Before it became The University of Memphis it was originally known as West Tennessee State School. The university was opened on Sept. 10, 1912. The first students that attended the school pick blue and white as the school’s colors and they chose a tiger as the mascot.
