Meet Rachel • I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion then it will start a chain reaction of the same. • - Rachel Scott • "Rachel lived a life filled with kindness and compassion, and because of it, she's changed the world." - Craig Scott Rachel's Brother • The image to the right is a photograph taken of the back of one of Rachel's old pieces of furniture. Rachel had a habit of writing in unusual places throughout her life. Here, she traced her hands and wrote: • "These hands belong to Rachel Joy Scott and will some day touch millions of people's hearts."
What is Rachel’s Challenge? • Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Her acts of kindness and compassion coupled with the contents of her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs in America. That evening the Rachel’s Challenge speaker conducts a powerful session with parents and community leaders. This session is similar to the assembly program and ends with a specific challenge to parents and community leaders, showing them how they can reinforce the decisions their youth are making. Entertainers, politicians, sports celebrities, educators, and even two Presidents of the United States have been impacted by Rachel’s Challenge. • Our school can be that positive place that Rachel would want for ALL students . . . Join us & make a difference!
