Facts for November Road Safety Week 17 - 23 November Organised by the charity Brake which raises awareness of death and injury on our roads and steps than can be taken to improve road safety Anti Bullying Week 17 - 23 November Aims to raise awareness of bullying in and out of school and highlights ways of preventing and responding to it. Universal Children's Day 20 November This aims to encourage understanding between children and promote children’s welfare around the world.

  2. Facts for November 18 November 1558 Queen Mary I of England died and her half sister Elizabeth I succeeded to the throne, bringing in the Elizabethan age. Elizabeth’s Dad was Henry VIII and Mum was Anne Boleyn his 2nd wife. 18 November 1869 The Suez Canal opened connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea. It allows ships a quicker route between Europe and Asia without going around Africa.

  6. Eco Club Today is the start of Switch Off Fortnight. During these two weeks we would like everyone to make a big effort to ‘Switch Off When Not in Use’ Can someone in each class be nominated to take on the job of helping to ‘Switch Off When Not in Use’ Thank you – we can make a big difference together!

Children in Need Thank you to our P7 for such a great effort over the past few weeks on organising our Children in Need Day A grand total of £1952.60 (and still counting) was raised The colouring competition will run until Friday 21 November and will be on sale this week from the P7s at 20p per picture. Thank you to Staff, Children and Parents and a Special Thank you to our Kitchen Staff who kindly helped us out on the baking etc.

  11. Well Done to …………. Emily successfully completed Level 3 and Stella successfully completed Level 1 & 2 at their swimming classes.

  12. Well Done to …………. Brodie, Charlie, Calum and Jamie, who all took part in the Boys Brigade Parade on Sunday. Emma who has been making Christmas decorations to sell for Marys Meals. These will be on sale in Sutherlands the Chemist on Saturday.
