It’s a medium explosion meaning that it can be quiet or it can be loud or very explosive. When Katmai erupts, the withdrawal of magma from beneath the cluster of small volcanoes at Katmai caused the area to collapse and produce a caldera. Also there are at least 14volcanoes in Katmai considered active.

Mount Katmai has caused many damages because it has caused many areas to collapse and could of caused other damages in states. It is also affecting the animals that live near the volcano. About 2,000 brown bears live in this area. Some of them have died because of the eruptions. But some have survived by the destructive volcano.

Katmai National park is where most of the eruptions have started. When Katmai has been erupted, all you can see is ash because that is what the mount is covered with after the eruption has ended.
