ECE.135 - The Three Presentation: Work Summary

This project work summary includes receiving passives and SMA connectors, updating the budget, correcting the bill of materials, soldering and testing Board 1, conducting troubleshooting, and starting the midterm paper.   7. Initial Board 1 Troubleshooting • No Success with Tx or Rx • High-Pitched Noise and a Smoking Ferrite Bead…Good? (We’re Thinking No) • Short Discovered Between Power Supply and Ground (Not from Layout) • Power Supply Questions

  11. Troubleshooting Conclusions • Disastrous First Attempt at Board 1 • No Shorts in Current Board • Problem Could be a Design Issue or a Component Problem • Possible Theory for Receiver: Maxim Chip Overheated and is Toast?
