  1. Connected Mathematics 6th Grade Math

  2. Curriculum Overview The materials are structured into units that take 4 to 6 weeks. Each unit is focused around problem situations that help students to learn an important set of related mathematical ideas and to become skillful at using these ideas to solve problems.

  3. Each Investigation is broken into parts. ACE problems are located after each Investigation.

  4. ACE Problems • There are different types of problems: Applications, Connections and Extensions • Homework will not be sequential, but samples of each type.

  6. Website I am not an expert! My website is a work in progress. Answer keys, with problems worked out, areavailable. Students will be expected to correct their work. Helpful links will show up, too.

  7. Homework There will be nightly homework. (including Fridays if class work does not get done.) I have learned that when the teacher corrects homework, students learn very little. Students must correct their homework to understand how their learning is progressing. Please bring questions to school!!! Quizzes, taken from homework problems, will be given almost every week.
