What is animal cruelty?? • Animal cruelty encompasses a range of behaviors that are harmful to animals, from neglect to malicious killing. • Intentional cruelty, or abuse, is knowingly depriving an animal of food, water, shelter, socialization, or veterinary care or maliciously torturing, maiming, mutilating, or killing an animal. • It is commonly believed that people who abuse animals are either showing signs of a predisposition to violence or have been victims of violence themselves.
Animal killers kill people ,Too • Cruelty to animals is considered one of three symptoms that predict the development of a psychopath. • people who hurt animals are likely to move on to even bigger games , their follow humans. • children who abuse animals are more likely to grow into violent adults. • serial killers and other violent criminals started out by abusing animals.
They began with animals… Albert De Salvo Jeffery Dahmer Albert De Salvo (Boston strangler)- killed 13 woman in 1year and stated that in his youth he trapped and killed dogs and cats. Renowned cannibal Jeffery Dahmer killed cats and dogs in his childhood. Brenda Spencer was 16 , fired 40 shots from her window into a playground killing children. She repeatedly abused cats and dogs. Luke Woodham killed his parents and 2 classmates and embarked on a playground killing spree. He already tortured and killed his own dog.
It is not normal! It is a clear sign of a seriously disturbed psyche. children who abuse animals are displaying potential future violence towards other children and later on members of the community. Do not dismiss the behaviour as ‘something all kids do’ – its unacceptable. it is the initial sign of a syndrome taken very seriously by authorities.
Why?? Children who come from violent backgrounds are more likely to display such behaviour. Multiple issues could lead children to such behaviour such as parental alcoholism, neglect, being unloved, domestic violence, overly domineering parents, sexual/physical abuse within the home, lack of attention and rejection.

Any cruelty towards animals must be acted on. Report abuse. Take professional guidance on how to handle the situation and they will be able to give direction.
Prevention Teach young people kindness, respect and compassion towards animals. Show them that animals have feelings and they will respect them. animals become your best friend if you show them love and respect.
