The criteria • Recent date of publication – year 2005 and later • ESP or EAP focus • Level of the target audience’s English language proficiency pre-intermediate and above.
Materials containing Internet-based activities less than 40% (10 out of 26 books).
The purpose of Internet use • Training students to search for and evaluate information for study or research purposes • Developing other English language skills • Advancing integrated skills development
“No-Internet” course books • those that do not include Internet-based tasks, but they do include activities where the Internet could be used • those that do not have such tasks and cannot have them within the methodological approach adopted by the authors
