  1. Michelangelo Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (6 March 1475 –18 February 1564), known as Michelangelo, was an Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect, poet, and engineer. Considered one of the biggest artists of the history both for his sculptures and for his paintings and architectural work.

  2. His sculpture Michael Angelo was using a quality, named terribilità, to which we can assume the greatness of his genius; it refers to aspects as physical vigor, the emotional intensity and the creative enthusiasm. In Rome it realized two sculptures: the Baccus and Saint Peter’s Pietà which had great beauty and the finished impeccable one.

  3. One of his sculptures mas importantly was the David, the nake young person of four meters of height that it represents perfect beauty and it synthesizes the values of the Renaissance humanism.

  4. Other one of his more famous sculptures is the Moses. It is a sculpture of marble for the tomb of the dad Julio II in San's Pedro Basilica. The statue is represented by horns in his head that means " beams of light “. Moses is sat, with the Tables of the Law under the arm, and with another hand caresses the curls of his beard.

  5. His architecture Michelangelo designed Capitoline Hillto crown the Capitol, the smallest of seven hills of the Ancient Rome. It is a geometrically delineated square, with three low and harmonious buildings that act as theatrical bottom. In the center of the square one finds the statue of the emperor Marco Aurelio. It is the first planned square of Rome.

  6. Saint Peter's Basilica. It is a catholic temple placed in the Vatican City. The basilica possesses the major interior space of a Christian church in the world. It is considered to be one of the most sacred places of the catholicism.The basilica is the place of San's Pedro burial, which was one of twelve apostles of Jesus of Nazareth. In this church there is celebrated the majority of the papal ceremonies.

  7. His Painting Adam's creation. It is a fresh in the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. It represents the Biblical episode of the Genesis in which God gives life to Adam. It is one of the works of art more valued and recognized in the world. His left arm is about a feminine figure normally interpreted as Eve. The God's right arm is stuck-up, for to give the spark of life of his own finger to that of Adam.

  8. The Last Judgment It is a mural realized in fresco to decorate the apse of the Sistine Chapel. The wall of the altar where now the Final Judgment is was containing other murals of the series of the stories of Moses and Jesus. More above the first three Popes were, where Saint Peter was. In the low half of the fresco, the multitudes are divided in two: those who are ascending to Heaven on the left side and those who descend to the glooms on the right side.
