  2. Michelangelo was born in Italy in the village of Caprise. 1475

  4. At the age of 12, he went to Florence to learn painting. 1487

  6. After 1 year, he became a sculptor. 1489

  7. When he was 23, he sculpted the Pieta. It was his first life sized sculpture. 1489

  8. Michelangelo’s sculture of DAVID is 15 feet high. 1504

  9. He started to paint the Sistine Chapel in 1508 but did not finish until 1512.It took him 4 years.

  10. He painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel while laying on his back.

  11. Michelangelo did painting and sculpting for the Medici Chapel & tombs. 1526-1533

  12. Michelangelo painted The Last Judgement. 1537 to 1541
