You will turn in evidence of the work you contributed to the group with your reflection after the presentations!

  3. A 3x3 WILL have: • Complete sentences (subject and predicate) (The predicate is the verb phrase. It modifies the subject, the noun). • Effective word order • Strong words, especially verbs and adjectives What is a 3x3?

  4. A 3x3 MAY also have: • Abstract nouns (Freedom, Fear, Love) • Contractions using “is” (Love’s, Freedom’s) What else…

  5. A 3x3 will NOT use the following: • Proper nouns/names (Amir, Okonkwo) • Repeated words (Love…love) • “to be” words (is, am, are, was, were) • Pronouns (she, he, you, I, we, me, etc) • Clichés (Love conquers all) • A, an, the Some more info…

  9. EACH group member is to create THEIR OWN 3x3 for your group’s section. One set is fine, but I would come up with a few to work with. • Read the chapter on “Theme” and review any theme statements you have already created. Does your statement(s) fit the criteria given in the reading?
