TPEP – The Big Picture • During the 2013-2014 school year, all of our teaching staff and administrators will be evaluated using the new system. • Approximately 25% of our teaching staff, including all provisional teachers, will be evaluated using the comprehensive evaluation. All others, approximately 75% of our teaching staff, will be evaluated using the focused evaluation.
TPEP – The Big Picture Next Steps: • Principals trained in the Danielson Framework for Effective Teaching in February and June • Evaluators of principals and assistant principals trained in the AWSP Leadership Framework in April • Teachers trained in Danielson Framework in spring during waiver days (dates TBD) • On-going training for rater agreement, professional development on effective teaching and leadership practices
TPEP – The Big Picture Our Learning This Spring • Five waiver days • Will use this opportunity to explore TPEP and begin looking at the Common Core State Standards as a vehicle to learning the skills required to be successful in the new evaluation system
