  2. The further development • during the visit of the EU partners to University of Sarajevo in May 2013 we are summarized the progress in the IL development at the University of Sarajevo until that pointin the contemporary presentation

  3. The further development • Now let's talk about the events in the period from May to December 2013 • In June 2013, two representatives of the Sarajevo University Samim Konjicija and Beba Rasidovic stayed in Limerick, Ireland in a seven-day visit and trainingat Limerick Institute of Technology

  4. Seven-day visit and training • this visit and training have been highly useful for understanding the ways and possibilities of creating IL programs and their promotion and implementation

The training was very useful and diverse include a visit to Limerick Institute of Technology and their Library-Information center introduction with information literacy programs that are practiced in this institution, available information sources and mode of the work Through guests and hosts presentations and discussions at the Round table exchanged experiences related to the implementation of IL and its inclusion in the curricula of academic institutions. Representatives of the University of Sarajevo presented the current activities and progress in the development of information literacy Seven-day visit and training

Seven-day visit and training • Similar activities are taking place when representatives of University of Sarajevo visited the University of Limerick • the Campus of the Institute of Technology Tralee and their library • city Public Library Limerick • Hunt Museum • and Library Mary Immaculate College

  7. Seven-day visit and training • At the end of the visit and training Round Table was organized in the main campus of the Institute • We discussed about outcomes of the Tempus project and these one-week visit

Seven-day visit and training • All discussions and conversations • both in the official part of the visit • and during informal communication with the hosts in all visited institutions • especially with library-information professionals • have proven to be very useful for strengthening knowledge about the necessity of such programs and training and awareness that we are in fact on the right track

Seven-day visit and training • In July 2013, two representatives of the Sarajevo University Fuada Muslic and Mirza Cerkez were visiting the University of Crete, Rethymno, Greece for training and familiarization with the modalities of information literacy programs in various academic institutions

Seven-day visit and training • During the visit the Library of the University of Crete hosts and guests had presentations and the discussion at the Round Table to exchange experiences related to the implementation of the Project, • the hosts and guests talked about previous efforts at their institutions that led to the inclusion of information literacy into the curriculum of academic institutions. • Representatives of the University of Sarajevo through a remarkable presentation presented the University and past activities and progress in the development of information literacy

  11. Seven-day visit and training • one-week training included familiarization with programs and information literacy during the visiting the Central Public Library, the Archaeological Museum and the Fortezza Castle, Rethymno • Similar activities are taking place when was organized visits to the cities of Heraklion and Chania, such as Knossos, the administrative center of the ancient Minoan civilization, the Historical Museum of Crete, "Vikelaia" municipal library in Heraklion, typography and Museum, Historical Archives of Crete and Chania Municipal Library.

Seven-day visit and training • In August 2013, two representatives of the Sarajevo University Milenko Blesic and Marin Petrovic stayed at Transilvania University in Brasov, Romania, for the training on methods of implementation IL programs with special emphasis on the evaluation of information and avoiding plagiarism

  13. Seven-day visit and training • During the stay in Brasov they visit the Public Library in Brasov • the Faculty of Engineering Technology and Industrial Management • the Ethnographic Museum • and Museum of urban civilization

  14. Seven-day visit and training • After each of these visits reports are made and published on the website of the University of Sarajevo with interesting photographs that testify the importance of these visits

  22. Next steps • we plan to publish this publication in English if the project coordinators help us again

  23. The best thing at the end • University of Sarajevo Senat has adopted a new Statute of the University of Sarajevo, which provided formation of the Committee for library-information system at the University level; • three days before appointed the members of this Committee

  24. the Committee are chosen by librarians from all science disciplines the Department of library and information science representatives of National and University Library students as well as a specialist in information systems

  25. This gives hope and opportunity for more quality work on the implementation IL at the University of Sarajevo in future
