Unifying Vision/Identity The mission of Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy is to provide students with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree. Our dedicated staff empowers students to think analytically and creatively while preparing them to be competitive, socially responsible, and successful in the completion of their college degrees.

MONARCHS Peer Review The Peer Review program at Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy is supported by the Middle College National Consortium and funds from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

Timeline • August/September—Entire Certificated Staff Set Goals • August/September—Identify Teachers to be reviewed, Chairperson of their committee and committee members • September thru April—Peer Observations • January/June and as needed—All students complete Student Reflections in every class • March—Teachers complete and share Self Reflections in small group; Feedback given by peers • April—Peer Evaluation Teams Meet • May—Post Evaluation Meeting with Principal • May thru July—Interview for next school year
