Behavioral Objectives • Clear and unambiguous description of your educational expectations for students. • Student behavior • Conditions of performance • Performance criteria • Examples: • Verbally identify all key components of a well-written lesson plan • Incorporate RBT in one written lesson plan
Modifications • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) 2004 • IEP reviewed annually by team • Modification – a change in what a student is taught or expected to learn • Accommodation – a tool or procedure that provides equal access to instruction and assessment for students with disabilities
Lesson Plan 101 (continued) • Behavioral Objectives: • Using the colored strips and working independently, arrange all the terms in Bloom’s Taxonomy from the least to most complex • Write 3 objectives for a FACS lesson, using at least 3 different levels of Bloom’s taxonomy • Working collaboratively, determine three types of assessments for your written objectives • Modifications for students with special needs: • Provide copies of the PowerPoint slides if needed. • Students requiring shortened assignments will find one verb list, rather than two.

Writing YOUR plan • Use a teacher edition’s textbook provided and working with your elbow partner choose a chapter for your assignment. • Locate the objectives for the chapter. • Determine how much material to cover each day. For our plan, we will assume five 42 minute class periods per week. • You have 10 minutes to complete your lesson plan.
