(Jan-Mar) • Project launching • Establishment of Project office and Field office • Staff appointment • Selection of Master trainers- 45 MTs • Selection of operational area for PY-I - Adonimandal: 43 villages - Yemmiganur: 15 villages • Baseline survey and Identification of Direct & Indirect farmers - Direct farmers: 5077 - Indirect farmers: 19905 • Preparation of village wise Direct & Indirect farmers list • Preparation of Training modules

  3. 2nd Quarter…..(Apr-Jun) • TOT workshops for Master trainers • Finalization & Printing of Training modules • Preparation of training schedules • Identification of training venues • Orientation classes to Master trainers • Identification of Farmer Training Groups - Total No. of FTGs: 177 ( West cluster:92; East: 85 ) • Conducting Farmer training classes • Development of farmer mobilization strategy - Training team - Mobilization team • Development of farmer to farmers training strategy through pamphlets • Special training classes to cover absentees

  9. Exploring the reasons for absenteeism • Mobilization team enquires through personal interactions • Few Reasons identified.. - Farming practices - Heavy rains - Unavoidable personal works - Physical stress • However… Increased level of farmer participation is identified

  10. Covering the absentees • Exploring the reasons for absenteeism • List out all the absentees in a village • A separate training class is planned and organized for all absentees from all FTGs in a village • If still find absentees… (Very few) - Personal interactions - Door to door - Pamphlets

Achievements • Identified 58 villages for PY-1 activities • Appointed full pledged and qualified Project staff • Very good rapport is created with farmers as well all the related sections of the people • 24982 farmers identified in which 5077 are Direct and 19905 are Indirect farmers • Developed 13 training modules under 4 main themes • Master trainers are fully trained on the training modules • Training modules are printed with all the necessary tools • 5000 Direct farmers are grouped in to 177 Training groups covering all the villages to facilitate the trainings • 1st theme trainings are successfully completed where there is 88% of farmers participated • Developed various strategies to achieve the project objectives

  17. PY-II • completed Baseline survey • Identified 25460 farmers in Yemmiganur and Pedda kadabur mandals. • Identified 5170 Direct and 20290 Indirect farmers • Considered women farmers as well under Indirect farmers • Submitted all the data to BIRDS
