Preparations 2003/2004 • Commitee meetings • Brochure - Proposal of new curricula folowing the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education, Bologna Declaration and other EU documents- all the relevant information necessary for the creation of new study programs • New documents of the University -approved by the Senate • All the necessary information published on the university portal
Implementation 2004/2005Framework (Ministry,National Council, Rectors’ conference ) • October 2004: Activity Plan for the Implementation of Bologna Process in 2004/2005 • December 2004: Procedure Dynamics in the Evaluation of study programs • December 2004: Guidelines for creation of undergraduate and graduate study program proposals
Evaluationprocess • University/departments proposed: 37 undergraduate study programs, 39 graduate programs • ECTS administrative coordinator & network of junior researchers - Mozvag • Positive evaluation: 9 undergraduate, 10 graduate programs • Sent for further elaboration: 28 undergraduate, 29 graduate • University gave up on: 7 undergraduate, 5 graduate programs • Doctoral programs still to go through the evaluation process (proposals being made)
Final outcomes • Permission of the Ministry: 29 undergraduate, 32 graduate study programs • Doctoral programs still to go through the evaluation process (proposals being made) • Academic year 2005/2006: 1. generation of students enrolled in the first year of undergraduate study programs
Final outcomes • Positive outcomes: integrated, small-size university = easier to manage, coordinate; bigger freedom -elective courses • Remaining problems: lack of awareness, flow of information too slow; inadequate contitions for new circumastances; lack of guidelines from the Ministry
