Solutions Explorer in EnterpriseOne transforms menu navigation by tailoring task views based on user roles. This guide details the role-task relationship, rollout schedule, accessing instructions, and contact info.

Solutions Explorer - WHY? • Required for next version - EnterpriseOne (menus are no longer available) • Solutions Explorer uses task views (menus) derived from an end-user’s Roles (foundation groups)
Solutions Explorer • Roles are equivalent to foundation groups that are assigned to users. (e.g. HR22, AP20,…) • Roles control what you see on the Task View • Task View is equivalent to a menu • Tasks are equivalent to items on the menu
Solutions Explorer • Solutions Explorer should only change the “look and feel” of the system. • Any functionality issues should be reported to the Help Desk (471- 4636)
Solutions Explorer – WHEN? • Solutions Explorer will be rolled out to a group of agencies each week. • The “old” sign-on will be available until the last agency goes live with Solutions Explorer (July 30, 2004). At that time, ONLY Solutions Explorer will be available to end-users.

Signing-on to NIS will remain the same. Type in your User ID and Password.
Click on Roles. Roles Task View The Task View will always read “State of Nebraska”
Roles are based functional/foundation groups. Click the area you want to work in.
Tasks seen are dependent on Role Selected. End-user’s will only see tasks assigned to their security group.

Citrix Logon – Click on Solutions Explorer(Yellow Lightbulb)
A list of valid Roles appears. Click on the Role in which you want to work.
Tasks are shown based on Role selected and security group assigned. Tasks
