  1. Welcome to Solutions Explorer OneWorld Xe

  2. Solutions Explorer - WHY? • Required for next version - EnterpriseOne (menus are no longer available) • Solutions Explorer uses task views (menus) derived from an end-user’s Roles (foundation groups)

  3. Solutions Explorer • Roles are equivalent to foundation groups that are assigned to users. (e.g. HR22, AP20,…) • Roles control what you see on the Task View • Task View is equivalent to a menu • Tasks are equivalent to items on the menu

  4. Solutions Explorer • Solutions Explorer should only change the “look and feel” of the system. • Any functionality issues should be reported to the Help Desk (471- 4636)

  5. Solutions Explorer – WHEN? • Solutions Explorer will be rolled out to a group of agencies each week. • The “old” sign-on will be available until the last agency goes live with Solutions Explorer (July 30, 2004). At that time, ONLY Solutions Explorer will be available to end-users.

  7. Navigate to www.nis.ne.gov. Click Solutions Explorer.

  8. Signing-on to NIS will remain the same. Type in your User ID and Password.

  9. Click on Roles. Roles Task View The Task View will always read “State of Nebraska”

  10. Roles are based functional/foundation groups. Click the area you want to work in.

  11. Tasks shown are dependent on Role selected.

  19. Right Click and select “Apply Role”

  20. A list of valid Roles appears. Click on the Role in which you want to work.
