MLTI History Laws Starting in 2001, Maine passed a law ensuring funds for education include funds for educational technology Since then, task forces and proposals have amended and defined the goals of the MLTI across schools in the state In 2006, The MLTI was written to include wireless access In 2009, MLTI began to expand to grades 7-12
MLTI History Costs Generally: MLTI participation costs about $250-900 a student, depending on the contract used There are additional costs for extra software, maintenance, network management, internet access
