Impact of influenza in 2015 100,569 Australians suffered in 2015 from laboratory confirmed influenza. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Laboratory confirmed cases represent only a small proportion of the overall flu cases in the country. In 2015 children aged less than 15 years accounted for one third of all influenza notifications. Children under 10 represented 25% of all notifications in 2015. (Age-specific incidence varies from year to year) 9% of hospitalised children with laboratory confirmed influenza were admitted directly to ICU in 2015. In Queensland in 2015 children aged less than 20 years accounted for 40% of all influenza notifications and 20% of admissions | Presentation Title | Presenter Name | Date | Subject | Business Use Only
