  4. … AND NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT SHAPES: a SHAPE maybe ROUND/CIRCLE SQUARE RECTANGULAR TRIANGULAR OVAL

  5. A QUADRILATER has four-sides, it is 2-dimensional (a flat shape) closed (the lines join up) hasstraight sides. Four sides (edges) Four vertices (corners) The interior angles add up to 360 degrees QUADRILATERAL

  6. LET’S LOOK CLOSELY AT A SQUARE

  7. IT’S A SQUARE Ithasequalsides everyangle is right angle (90°) oppositesides are parallel ithastwodiagonals A polygon’s diagonals  are line segments from one corner to another (but not the sides)

  9. The red line down the center is theLine of Symmetry Folding Test You can findif a shapehas a Line of Symmetry byfoldingit. When the folded part sitsperfectly on top (alledgesmatching), then the fold line is a Line of Symmetry. THE SQARE hasgot 4 lines of simmetry
