  1. Task 7 Explain how to deal with system problems (such as error messages received, peripherals which do not respond as expected, obvious faults with the equipment or connecting leads).

  2. System Problems • Read the error message carefully. • Identify the problem • What sort of problems? • Try to fix the problem yourself by: • Checking that (peripherals) are switched on • Check fault messages on (peripherals) • Check that leads are plugged in securely and correctly

  3. System Problems • What sort of problems? • System error messages • Follow instructions if given. • Shut down computer and restart, then retry. • Contact computing support if problem continues.
