Partnering Update • Met on March 7, 2013 in Washington, DC • 41 participants in person or via telecon • 13 DoD representatives (Navy, HQ USACE, USACE Districts, AFCEC, HDQA ACSIM, ESTCP/SERDP)
Partnering Update Anomaly density and risk of performing work under FFP mechanism at uncharacterized sites: • Move towards cost reimbursable contracts where scope/risk is not well defined • Acknowledgement that IRP model (RI – RC) may not be best suited for FUDS/MMRP • Use of FUP to account for variables in site conditions
Partnering Update Advantages of access to background documents, preliminary SOWs, and project lists: • Discussed opportunities to provide documents online, e.g., Google-based database, links to Administrative Records • Still concern about quality of available data
Partnering Update Advanced Classification • Both Government and industry agreed to keep forward momentum on using advanced classification systems.
Partnering Update Additional notes: • Munitions Response Dialog is being reactivated • USACE is looking into opportunities to facilitate debriefs for awards less than $5M • Improvements in consistency with implementation of the UFP-QAPP for MEC
Partnering Update Follow-on meeting: • Identify topic(s) • Tentatively scheduled in conjunction with Spring 2014 Fly-in
Partnering Update Article for publication: • Article proposal was submitted to The Military Engineer in May • The proposal was accepted and the article was submitted in September, for publication in the January – February 2014 edition
