Index Activities: • Share what you know about Shakespeare and Elizabethan Drama. • Examine, discuss and refine your own attitudes toward war, honor, family, media and protest. • Watch Kenneth Branagh’s Henry V - Shakespeare on film to convince anyone that Shakespeare wrote for the regular folks. • Search the internet to discover what other people think of Shakespeare’s Henry V film and movie versions.
Index End Academic Areas: Social Studies: Students will develop their ability to relate a work of art to political/personal occurrences in the past and in today’s world. Literature: Students will develop their understanding of themes in literature. How do we express the themes of a literary work? Writing: Students will develop their skills at writing a coherent essay in which they address 3-4 aspects of a particular work of art to a critical depth.
All presentations will have audio, visual and written components. Presentation should be a minimum of 5 minutes in length Expectations Index End
