Pictures explaining the operation of MICE and the quantities to be measured was done with 88 MHz, PATH, no spectro match, etc… -> need actual MICE -> Palmer, (ICOOL) Lombardi(PATH) one of the two is enough ICOOL
spectrometer performance by P. Janot. No noise, inefficiencies, ad hoc fortran code. do this with ‘official GEANT4’ + Bkg, efficiency, etc.. One detector choice is enough! + simulations in the particle ID (downstream) G-4-MICE
Systematic effects… in cooling: -- need for magnetic measurements was identified (see JM Rey) justification for specs (10-3 measurements?) is missing -- thickness of absorbers (how will this be measured) -- RF field monitoring ? in measurement -- tracking errors, tof systematics… -- others?
