Commentary Good Morning friends, how wonderful it is to gather together in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus. Last week we began our three part series on understanding and appropriating truth for our lives. We began with remembering what Jesus says to his disciples; "I am the truth, the way and the life". In other words Jesus says to them in spite of fallacious claims that there are other ways to arrive at truths, for the believer the truth is not separate from Christ who is truth that contains life and light.

Hold the truth of God's word for our lives is the place of faith and trust working on our behalf in order for breakthroughs in our lives.
For the believer it is not only hearing and believing, but retaining what you have heard, learned and applied. This is the place where the truth is established and becomes a part of who you are and how you are known. James addresses this in Chapter 1 and verse 22, we are to be doers of the word and not hearers only.

Life Application Principles 1. The more we draw our strength from Christ (through biblical truths) the less we will be fooled by those who falsely claim to have life's answers.

Life Application Principles • Retaining biblical truth develops our trust in God and builds faith that stands in assurance which equals breakthroughs
