  2. setting • Y square plus is set on a small island in Japan they never tell the name of the island though that’s a little odd • The main characters mainly spend their time at school or at their houses

  3. Characters • Ra-myun cho: Ju-jin’s big brother he is visiting his little sister from his university in the city. he has short spiky black hair. He is fairly nice and acts mature. • Ju-jin cho: she is Yoshitaka’s girlfriend. she has short black hair that she usually keeps in pigtails. She is nice most of the time but if someone makes her mad she gets angry and keeps a grudge.

  4. Characters cont. Yagate: the main character. He has short blond hair that spikes up a little. He never keeps a grudge and is nice to everyone Yoshitaka: Yagate’s best friend. He has long brown hair that grows over his left eye. He is nice sometimes but if anyone claims that he's in love he will go into a fit of rage. Chana: Ju-jin’s best friend. He has long blond hair that goes past her shoulders. She is nice most of the time unless someone makes her mad.

  5. Problem/conflict • Ju-jin and Yoshitaka get in a fight over a magazine that Ju-jin was in. • Chana and Yagate get in a fight because the both like the same guy ; Ju-jin’s brother Ra-myun and Chana pulls down Yagate’s pants to embarrass him in front of Ra-myun.

  6. Resolution • Yoshitaka and Ju-jin make up and they decide to date each other. • Yagate forgives Chana and the become friends again.

  7. My opinion • I thought it was a cute manga about romance and friendship & I wish Judith park would make a new Y square.

  8. About the author • Judith park is originally from Germany. • She has written four other mangas before Y square plus. • Her friends helped her finish writing Y square plus • She made 5 sketches of Ra-myun before she got him just right • The Y square series has 3 books

  10. Summary of the book • Yagate is an eighteen year old high school student that just wants to find the right guy while helping his friend Yoshitaka go out with Ju-jin the girl of Yoshitaka’s dreams.
