Ontario-Montclair School District Reclassification Criteria Spring 2014
What prompted us to revise our Reclassification Criteria? • To meet the Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) review requirements for districts to have a reclassification criteria for all English Learners, K through 8th grade. • To provide a revised criteria that will include a pathway for reclassification after the suspension of the California Standards Test (CST)/California Modified Test (CMA) takes effect.
How will the new Reclassification Criteria Support our English Learners? • It will align our California English Language Development Test (CELDT) criteria for English Proficiency to that set by the California Department of Education for Title III accountability measures. • It will provide a clear pathway for all English Learners in grades K-8, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
