What do I look for in a graduate? A broad education. Inquisitive and capable of independent thought. Technical knowledge. The ability to apply technical knowledge in a practical manner.
How do I find what I’m looking for? Seek out students from the best universities. Talk to the students. Sponsor students. Get involved with the course.
What are the benefits to my company? • Strengthens our links with the University. • Introduces us to a pool of future top graduates. • Raises our profile with the students. • Enhances our reputation as a forward thinking company. • Helps to develop students so they can apply their technical knowledge to technical problems. • Provides an opportunity for CPD. • A low risk environment to give younger staff training in preparing briefing documents, providing clarifications, attending meetings and giving presentations.
