Brahmins • Scholars, Priests, and Wise men. • Were to teach Vedas. • Started as second in classes. • Expected to provide guidance. • Perform religious ceremonies.
Vaishyas • Farmers, Merchants, and Traders. • Productive class. • Workers, not high up. • Took pride in work. • Trade was important to them.
Sudras • Made of peasants. • Lowest ranking class. • Didn’t work. • Were under others authority. • Had to follow all rules.
Four Classes • Didn’t speak outside classes. • Different lifestyles. • Everyone had their own morals. • Greater respect. • Rule and Regulations
