Here are three of the Akkadian’s best achievements: • Sargon, the king of the Akkadian Empire, built his empire through effective military strategies. • Sargon was a clever politician, destroying walls of cities he conquered so it would be very hard to rebel. • The Akkadians also created new forms of art, including a new language and 3-D sculptures called steles.
Below are three of the Babylonian’s greatest achievements. • Hammurabi was the king of the Babylonian Empire, and he was famous for his written and public code of laws which made life very fair. • Everybody had rights: slaves, women, men, kings, and everyone else! • The Babylonian Empire was united because of roads, religion, and postal service (made by Hammurabi).
Three of the Assyrian’s most important achievements are listed below: • The Assyrians gained lots of power through their cruelty and military might. • Assyrians built the first aqueducts, and combined with canals, created a very reliable watering system. • The Assyrian artisans made very famous works of 2-D art called bas-reliefs, some of which were placed on palace walls!
Here are the Neo-Babylonian Empire’s three greatest achievements. • Nebuchadrezzar II kept the capital , Babylon, very safe from intruders, therefore protecting his empire and himself. • The Babylonians were very skilled at astronomy and mathematics. They created the first sundial and made 60 minute hours and 7 day weeks! • Nebuchadrezzar II also made the Hanging Gardens of Babylon by decorating his palace with beautiful, lush gardens! This site (that might not exist) became one of the Seven Ancient Wonders!
The best empire to live in would be… the Babylonian Empire! • The Babylonian Empire was very fair, which is a great trait in an empire. • Hammurabi united his people with roads, religion, and a postal service. This is very good because a united empire is stronger than one that isn’t! • Hammurabi’s code of laws was also an extremely fair way for people to live, and it was put in public so everyone could see them!
