Building Trust and Culture • Seminar on: “knowledge is power”, “not my job” and “job security” • Introduction on creating a Company Culture: components/vision • Seminar discussing the importance of Leaders valuing and appreciating employees and their knowledge sharing
Pilot Program • Form a group of 20-30 people from all locations including leaders/employees from each team • Form committees within group to test plan
KM Strategy • Introduction of low investment projects that bring immediate benefits • Assess visible problems and emotional problems from audit and survey
Project Plans • Introduction of communities of practice, storytelling and knowledge transfer sessions
Outline of Technology Plan • Improving basic infrastructure • Consolidating spreadsheets/databases • Creating a new intranet
Technology Improvements • New Intranet that is easy to use and understand • Lunch sessions to introduce and promote new features within the intranet • Leaders to update the intranet
Benchmarking • Meet with the Pilot group and have a face-to-face interaction of what worked/areas to improve • Conduct another survey about the plan
Learning and Continuous Improvement • Assign leaders from each department that will update the plan and information • Introduce the plan to the agency through sessions • Leaders conduct sessions and assess the areas to work focus on • Page in intranet that is open for questions/concerns for new KM plan
