Favorite Art Anton Caricato Period 3
Information • Named St. Gregory The Pope • Painted by Pedro Berruguete in 1495. • From the early and high Renaissance period.
Why I chose this painting • I see the Pope as the highest among leaders in my faith. I am interested in his crown and its style. I also like how he is holding up two fingers almost resembling peace. Overall, I find this painting both old and historical , but also very powerful and religious.
Information • Named Bullfight, Suerte de Varas. • Painted by Francisco de Goya in 1824. • From the Romanticism period.
Why I chose this painting • I chose this painting because I like how everyone is huddled together, away from the bull. Meanwhile, the bull is not even looking at them, but rather more off in the distance. Also, this looks like it is his second horse since there is blood and it looks like another horse carcass laying dead to the right of him.
Information • Named Frozen Assets. • Painted by Diego Rivera in 1931. • From the Dada and Surrealism period.
Why I chose this painting. • I chose this painting because I like how it shows a modern city being built. I infer that this has to do with the law because of the men. Almost like when you are underground being interrogated for a crime all of your assets cannot help you if you did a crime. Or may be a gang with bodies and underground stores all of the money stolen from the corpses that lie guarded above.
