  3. Rising Action Sergeant-Major Morris comes on a cold, gloomy evening and talks about the little monkey paw. There will be three possessors and each person receives three wishes.

  4. The Whites wanted the paw so they took it. “If you keep it, don’t blame me for what happens.”- Sergeant-Major Morris

  5. “I wish for 200 pounds.” “your son is dead, he was caught in the machinery at work.” “Our company wishes to present you with a certain sum as compensation” “200 pounds”

  6. Antagonist “Why, we’re going to be rich, and famous, and happy. Wish to be an emperor, father, to begin with.” –Herbert White: Antagonist

  7. Cold Concerned Depressed Despairing Disturbed Fearful Gloomy Hopeless Horrific Regretful

  8. Climax “We have two more wishes!” “Wish our boy alive again!”

  9. “I wish my son alive again.” “A perfect fusillade of knocks reverberated through the house.” It was Herbert

  10. Mr. White found the little monkey paw and whispered his third and final wish.

  11. Then it all stopped and no one was at the door.

  12. Don’t try and change fate, Because you can’t.
