  3. SAT/ACT FEE WAIVERS If you are on free or reduced lunch, you qualify for fee waivers. Remember that you must reapply each year to remain eligible for the free or reduced lunch program. 2 ACT test waivers TOTAL 2 SAT test fee waivers TOTAL 4 College Board - College Application Fee Waivers You receive four SAT & ACT score reports every time you register. These four score reports must be used at the time of registration or up to nine days after the Saturday test date 4 ACT - College Application Fee Waivers • Waivers can be used only once. • ACT& SAT waivers CANbe used after the regular deadline, but you must pay the late fee. To receive a waiver, please come by my office, anytime before school, during lunch, or after school.

QuestBridge's partner colleges include many of the nation's leading colleges and universities, and are all committed to seeking out and admitting high-achieving students regardless of family income. 

  6. The Common Application is an undergraduate college admission application that you can use to apply to any of more than 500 member colleges and universities. State Schools such as UF and FIU are not members; you have to apply directly to them.

Go to https://connectedu.net click • Enter: • Student’s First Name • Student’s Last Name • Student ID (Student's School ID number) • State • Community Type (High School) • Community Name (Student’s High School) • Select “I’m a Student” or “I’m a Parent" • Complete the profile information and create a Username and Password. Your Username must be a valid email address! Creating a Student or Parent Account

  9. Florida Bright Futures Important Dates and Issues Register Beginning December 1. End of First Semester: The state evaluates your personal status and the criteria you have met to receive Florida Bright Futures upon your date of graduation GPA in specific courses Specific course work Community service ACT and/or SAT scores (CPT can also be used on Gold Seal) First Evaluation February – Notification by April Second/Final Evaluation June – Notification by August

Things to Remember • Keep your grades up • Keep a calendar with deadlines • Sign up to take SAT/ACT and other required tests • Send college applications and required documentation on time • Apply for as many scholarships as possible • Apply for Financial Aid after January 1st • Keep photocopies of all your documents, specially letters of recommendation.
