Objectives Raising public awareness of science & technology among ethnic minorities with a special emphasis on Engineering Sciences, Information Technology and Biotechnology within a European context.

General medium-long term objectives • Optimising human resources within Europe • Allowing access by minority groups to science and technology careers by raising awareness • Increasing the number of students from ethnic minorities in higher education • Increasing the number of young professionals from ethnic minority groups pursuing careers in science and technology • Raising public awareness of the science and technology community of ethnic minority issues
Specific objectives (1) • Selecting the major ethnic minority group(s) and cities or metropolitan areas to be targeted • Selecting potential locations • Identifying potential role models from ethnic minority groups • Performing a survey and collecting vital information via a questionnaire addressing the status quo • Statistical evaluation of the questionnaires to be published in a special report
