  7. The Little Commentary There is no one center in the universe, The earth’s center is not the center of the universe, t he center of the universe is near the sun, the distance from the earth to the sun is imperceptible compared with the distance to the stars, the rotation of the earth accounts for the apparent daily rotation of the stars, the apparent annual cycle of movements of the sun is caused by the earth revolving round it, and the apparent retrograde motion of the planets is caused by the motion of the earth from which one observes.

  8. The Renaissance of Science “ology” As people in Europe began to study the works of ancient astronomers such as Aristotle and Ptolemy, they found that their teachings did not always match everyday observations. Scholars started to question these ancient works and wanted to expand upon and challengethem…. The truly important message to recognize about the renaissance is that it was a turning point in history. This turning point, known now as the scientific revolution, changed our view of the world, revised our beliefs, and opened the door for future exploration and experimentation. Scientists could now use experimentation and physical evidence to prove their ideas, and because of this, they got closer to the truth.
