  3. Servant • doulos: “enslaved, enthralled, subservient... one pledged or bound to serve” (Moulton, 106) • Serve: “to work for…carry out the duties of… to be used by…function…” (Webster) • We are commanded to be servants who work • Service personified in Jesus (Matt. 20:27-28; Jno. 6:38; 9:4)
