  3. Relationship to Synoptics • More direct focus on Judea (at least three journeys to Jerusalem, cf. 2:13, 3:1, 7:10) • Extended discourse • Different vocabulary • No exorcisms • No parables, only extended allegories

  4. Key Features • Holy Spirit as Paraclete/Advocate (John 14:25-26; 15:26) • Beloved Disciple (John 21:20-24; 13:21-29; 19:26-27; 20:2-10) • The Samaritan Woman: John 4 • Resurrection in John: John 20
