We use be going to • To talk about our future plans and intentions. f.E. He's going to play basketball tomorrow afternoon (=He's planning to…) • To make predictions based on what we can see. f.E. It's going to rain. There are dark clouds in the sky. ( I can see the clouds).
Time expressions:tomorrow,this weekend,next Monday/ Tuesday etc.,next month/week etc.
We use the present continuous: • To talk about something that happening now, at the time of speaking or around the time of speaking. It is snowing. ( It's snowing right now.) He's looking for a new job. • To talk about fixed arrangements. I am seeing my doctor at 2 p.m.
