Sexual • Two parents • Male • Female • Requires meiosis • Forms gametes- • Reduces the chromosome number
Sexual • Requires fertilization • Union of gametes • Restores diploid # • 1N + 1N = 2N • Offspring inherit ½ chromosomes from each parent • Offspring are different than the parents and each other (except identical twins)
